Chief Bhambatha Kamancinza

Chief Bhambatha (sometimes spelled Bhambada) was born in Mpanza near the town of Greytown, Natal Colony. He was the son of Chief Macinga of the abakwa Zondi chieftaincy, and his mother, principal wife of Macinga, was the daughter of Chief Pakade of an important Zulu chieftaincy, the Cunu.

The Battle of Blood River

On 16 December 1838 the Battle of Blood River took place near the Ncome River in KwaZulu Natal. The Battle of Blood River was between the Voortrekkers under the leadership of Andries Pretorius and the Zulu's under the leadership of Dingane the Zulu King.

Dundee & Battlefields

The Isandlwana Battlefield site marks the location of buried British soldiers. The signalling post, Fort Mistake, which was built during the first Anglo Boer War, is one of the many that stretched north to Newcastle. The Cenotaph memorial was built in memory to the many men who died in the First and Second World Wars
